Protein Cornbread

Perfect for a BBQ or with a soup, this cornbread is the perfect combination of savoury and sweetness. Plus, it has added protein hidden in it. Bonus!

Ingredients

  • 1/2c NZProtein LSA
  • 3/4c All purpose flour
  • 3 Scoops NZProtein Beef protein
  • 1/2c Sugar
  • 1/2t Salt
  • 3t Baking powder
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1c Milk (I used almond)
  • 1/3c Avocado oil

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180oC and grease a loaf tin.
  2. In a large bowl add all the dry ingredients together and whisk.
  3. Create a well in the middle and add in the wet ingredients.
  4. Whisk together until the mixture is smooth.
  5. Transfer to the greased tin loaf and bake for 20mins or until the loaf starts to brown.
  6. Enjoy warm. Best served with butter!
